More dinners at the mercy of others.

Last night was Meg's 22nd birthday so we went over to her parents' for dinner. They had veggie lasagna for Jeff, and I had a salad.

Tonights dinner was a little more interesting. Our friend, Shari, helped to organize the 2nd Annual Multi-cultural dinner at Schenk Elementary to support Schools of Hope. The result was dinner donated by many local restaurants, and served by college kids involved in VISTA, and eaten in a grade school cafeteria. I hated high school, but grade school was kind of fun, so I was giddy in the atmosphere.

There were a lot of things to eat, including pad thai, this awesome curried tofu from Willie Street Co-Op, pita, sauteed veggies, and curried rice. It was nice. (And again, I leave the camera in my purse.) The highlight of the night though, was the Native American hoop dance performed by another student from UW. It was very cool, and ended up incorporating 27 rings. After 2 rings I would have gotten confused and fallen over, never mind not being able to dance on rhythm.
